Experience the spirit of history with this stunning reproduction of a traditional Pala, inspired by the sword of General Christos Fotomaras. Handcrafted with meticulous forging and elegant details, it reflects the artistry and tradition of the era.
The impressively curved blade, made of hard spring steel, adds authenticity, while the richly decorated scabbard with metal accents highlights the refinement of traditional craftsmanship. The handle, both durable and stylish, completes a piece that combines historical value with collectible uniqueness.
Perfect for collectors, history enthusiasts, and anyone seeking a distinctive item of authentic Greek heritage.

The history of the sword
The daughter of Fotomaras married one of the Koumanioti brothers. (a well-known family of Achaia, so the sword was found in Patras as a gift from the father-in-law to the groom. Doctor Sakellariou, who is a descendant of the Koumaniotes from his mother's clan, had it at home as an heirloom and donated it to the Patras museum.
Let's not forget to note here that the sword was "dressed" with silver decorated with the niello technique, by one of the well-known silversmiths, Davaroukas from Kalarrites, where he also maintained a workshop at the beginning of the 19th century in the I.P. of Messolonghi.
